Focus and Scope

Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering (IJSE) as a medium for scientific studies on research, thinking and critical analysis of problems in Computer Science, Information Systems and Information Technology, both nationally and internationally. Scientific articles refer to theoretical reviews and empirical studies of related sciences, which can be accounted for and disseminated nationally and internationally.

Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering (IJSE) is a scientific journal published by LPPM Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika. This journal contains scientific research results with the theme:

Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering (IJSE) aims to disseminate knowledge from research results and thoughts for community service, the website Jurnal LPPM Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika provides journal articles to download for free.

Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering (IJSE) is a national scientific journal that is a reference source for academics. The schedule is published 2 (two) times a year, namely June and December.

Peer Review Process

The Paradigma Journal, which is an online-based Journal of Computer and Informatics, was published by the Institution of Research and Community Service (LPPM) Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika.

The Paradigma article is entered through an electronic process (OJS), then every writer must register and enter the manuscript through OJS (Registration).

Each manuscript will be conducted by a peer review (blind review) by 2 (two) reviewers. Peer reviews are carried out online by the reviewer and the results will be submitted to the author via email.

The results of the review can be in the form of acceptance, revision, and rejection of the text. The maximum review time is 1 (one) month after receipt the manuscript.

The review process will consider the latest, objectivity, methods, scientific impacts, conclusions, and references.

Reviewers will suggest receipt of manuscript.

The editor will decide whether the manuscript fulfill the requirements of the Paradigma Journal. The editor's decision is final.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides direct open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Publication Ethics

Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering (IJSE) is a scientific publication that contains the results of research in the field of Information System Design, Data Mining, Decision Support Systems, and Information Technology that have never been published. This scientific code of ethics statement is a code of ethics statement for all parties involved in the process of publishing scientific journals, namely managers, editors, partners/reviewers, and writers/authors. Ethical code of scientific publications statement is based on the Head Regulation of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Ethical code of Scientific Publication, which in essence is the Ethical code of Scientific Publication upholds the three ethical values in publication, such as:

1.     Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in publications management;

2.     Justice, namely to give authorship rights to those who are entitled as authors/writers; and

3.     Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor in Chief

1.     Determine the name of the journal, scope of science, scale, and accreditation if necessary.

2.     Determine editor membership.

3.     Defining relationships between publishers, editors, best partners, and other parties.

4.     Respect confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and best-partner partners.

5.     Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.

6.     Perform journal policy review and submit it to authors/writers, editors, best partners, and readers.

7.     Make a code of conduct guide for editors and best partners.

8.     Publish journals regularly.

9.     Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publishing.

10.   Building a network of cooperation and marketing.

11.   To improve the quality of the journal.

12.   Prepare licensing and other legal aspects.

 

Editor's Duties and Responsibilities

1.     The editor comments on the author's writing so the reader can understand what the writer wants to say, through comments written on the manuscript.

2.     The editor comments on the author's manuscript in accordance with the language of EBI (Indonesian Spelling) or the language according to the standard of the journal.

3.     The editor strives to improve the quality of publications on an ongoing basis;

4.     The editor puts forward freedom of opinion objectively,

5.     The editor conveys corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies if needed,

6.     The editor ensures that the writer's writings are not related to SARA or anything that could harm the Publisher and coordinate the writer's writings to the editor in chief of the publisher if the writing is slightly controversial.

7.     Editor receives, examines, and follows up complaints from all parties involved in publishing the journal;

8.     The editor supports initiatives to educate researchers about the ethics of publication,

9.     Editors do not maintain their own opinions, authors, or third parties that can result in non-objective decisions,

10.   The editor encourages the author/writer, to be able to make repairs to the paper until it is worth publishing.

11.   The editor performs the layout of the manuscript to be published so that it matches the journal template.

12.   Editor assisted the editor-in-chief in finalizing the collection of manuscripts before printing and publishing, especially in terms of language, format, and layout.

Duties and Responsibilities of Bestari Partners

1.     Provide objective and unbiased written feedback on the value of scholarship and the contribution of the manuscript to the development of science;

2.     Shows whether the manuscript is quite clear, complete, and relevant and whether it is in accordance with the scope of the journal;

3.     Does not provide criticism or comments that are personal; and

4.     Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript, by not discussing it with parties who are not related, or disclosing information contained in the text to other parties.

5.     Duties and Responsibilities of the Website Administrator.

The Website Administrator is the person responsible for managing the journal website. Specifically, the scope of duties of the Website Administrator are as follows:

1.     Prepare a journal website;

2.     Configure system options and manage user accounts;

3.     Register for editors, reviewers, and writers;

4.     Manage journal features;

5.     View report statistics; and

6.     Upload/publish papers that are already accepted.

Plagiarism Policy

The Editorial Team of Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering (IJSE) acknowledges that plagiarism is unacceptable and establishes the following policies that state-specific actions (penalties) if plagiarism is identified in an article submitted to be published in the IJSE Journal.

Definition:

Plagiarism is an act intentionally or unintentionally in obtaining or trying to obtain credit or value for scientific work, by quoting part or all of paper and/or scientific paper of other parties that are recognized as scientific papers, without mentions the source appropriately and adequately.

For that, then:

The manuscript must be original, never published, and not in the process of waiting for publication elsewhere. Material taken verbally from other sources needs to be clearly identified so that it is different from the original text.

If plagiarism is identified, Chief Editor is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve the action in accordance with the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:

 

Plagiarism Level

    1. Tracing a part of a short sentence from another manuscript without mentioning the source. Action: Authors are given warnings and requests to change the manuscript and quote correctly.
    2. Tracing most of the other manuscripts without the right quote and not mentioning the source. Action: The submitted manuscript is rejected for publication in the Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering and the author can be sanctioned for not publishing in the Paradigma Journal.
    3. All writers are responsible for the content of the articles they submit because they all signed the Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering Publication Ethics Statement Form. If the manuscript is classified as plagiarism, then all authors will be subject to the same action.
    4. If the author is proven to submit the manuscript to the Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering Journal by simultaneously sending it to another journal, and this overlap is found during the reviewer process or after publication, then the action according to point 2 above is given.
    5. If plagiarism is found outside the above rules, the editor of the Journal of Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering has the right to give sanctions according to the policy of the editorial team.

License Policy

Articles published under the Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering (IJSE) are made freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription barriers to access. Authors who choose to participate in the Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering (IJSE) Journal initiative and pay to have their paper freely available online will be asked to sign an open-access license agreement.

Our Indonesian Journal on Software Engineering (IJSE) Journal implements are CC-BY-SA, This license permits users to use, reproduce, disseminate or display the article provided that the author is attributed as the original creator and that the reuse is restricted to non-commercial purposes i.e. research or educational use.
