PEMODELAN KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT BERBASIS WEB UNTUK KEGIATAN PELAYANAN PADA PERUSAHAAN RETAIL

Abstract


Abstract - Application of Knowledge Management at the company seems to have become an essential requirement in this era of globalization. Company's ability to manage knowledge that there is strength needed to survive. This also applies to existing retail company in Indonesia. Knowledge Management (KM) is an effort to increase useful knowledge within the organization. Knowledge Management is an arrangement would not only knowledge, but rather on the management of an organization with a special focus on knowledge. Application of Knowledge Management with a web-based system, is expected to be the solution of the required flow of knowledge that is not hindered by constraints of time and geographical location. This thesis research was to analyze the condition of knowledge in organizations, with attention to support the existing information technology infrastructure. Focus Method Discussion Forum is used as a methodology for analysis. Focus Discussion Forum is itself a research method that aims to identify trends that exist in individual perceptions about a thing. Results of Focus Discussion Forum illustrates the organizational culture of knowledge sharing which is a critical component of Knowledge Management

Abstrak - Penerapan Knowledge Management di perusahaan nampaknya sudah menjadi suatu kebutuhan mendasar pada era globalisasi ini. Kemampuan perusahaan mengelola knowledge yang ada merupakan kekuatan yang diperlukan untuk dapat tetap bertahan. Hal ini juga berlaku pada perusahaan retail yang ada di Indonesia. Knowledge Management (KM) merupakan usaha untuk meningkatkan knowledge yang berguna dalam organisasi. Knowledge Management tidak hanya merupakan pengaturan akan knowledge, namun lebih pada manajemen suatu organisasi dengan fokus khusus terhadap knowledge. Penerapan Knowledge Management dengan sebuah sistem berbasis web, diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dari kebutuhan aliran knowledge yang tidak dihalangi oleh batasan waktu dan lokasi geografis. Penulis jurnal ini menganalisis kondisi knowledge dalam organisasi, dengan memperhatikan dukungan infrastruktur teknologi informasi yang ada. Metoda Focus Discussion Forum digunakan sebagai metodologi untuk melakukan analisis. Focus Discussion Forum sendiri merupakan metode penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan yang ada pada individu mengenai persepsi tentang suatu hal. Hasil Focus Discussion Forum ini menggambarkan budaya knowledge sharing organisasi yang merupakan komponen kritis dari Knowledge Management
