Tingkat Kepuasan dan Kepercayaan Diri Mahasiswa Keperawatan Terhadap Metode Pembelajaran Klub Jurnal

ABSTRAK

Pemilihan metode pembelajaran yang tepat membuat pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran lebih mudah tercapai, minat dan motivasi belajar juga akan meningkat serta akan tercipta suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Klub jurnal sebagai salah satu metode pembelajaran memungkinkan peserta didik untuk menerapkan pemikiran kritis dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kepuasan dan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa keperawatan terhadap pembelajaran dengan metode klub jurnal.Metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional digunakan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan 38 mahasiswa keperawatan yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah riset keperawatan di Universitas BSI sebagai responden. Data diambil menggunakan kuisioner Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning dari National League for Nursing (2005) yang telah dimodifikasi. Kuisioner tersebut terdiri dari 2 bagian, yaitu: kepuasan pembelajaran yang terdiri dari 5 pernyataan; dan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran yang terdiri dari 8 pernyataan. Selanjutnya, data yang terkumpul diolah dan dideskripsikan dalam bentuk frekuensi, mean, dan standar deviasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan metode klub jurnal menunjukkan skor rata-rata 19.63 dari kemungkinan 25 poin tertinggi, dan terkait kepercayaan diri mahasiswa keperawatan didapatkan skor rata-rata 31.7 dari kemungkinan skor tertinggi 40. Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepuasan dan kepercayaan diri yang positif dari mahasiswa keperawatan terhadap metode pembelajaran klub jurnal. Sebagai salah satu strategi pengajaran yang efektif, metode ini banyak diadopsi oleh berbagai profesi kesehatan termasuk keperawatan untuk menciptakan kesadaran akan penelitian dan mempromosikan praktik keperawatan yang berbasis bukti.

ABSTRACT

An appropriate learning method establish a strong foundation to achieved learning goals more easily, the interest and motivation to learn will also increase and create a satisfying learning atmosphere. Journal club as one of the learning methods allows students to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to describe the satisfaction and confidence of nursing students in learning using journal club method. A quantitative descriptive method with cross sectional design was used to answer research questions. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling technique with 38 nursing students undergoing nursing research courses at BSI University agreed to participate as respondents. Data were taken using the modified Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning questionnaire from National League for Nursing (2005). The questionnaire comprised of 2 parts: (1) learning satisfaction which consist of 5 questions; and (2) student confidence in learning which consists of 8 questions. Furthermore, all collected data were processed and described using frequency, mean, and standard deviation.The results showed that student learning satisfaction using journal club method showed a mean score of 19.63 from the highest possible score of 25. Related to nursing students' self-confidence with learning, the mean score was 31.7 from a possible highest score of 40. Overall results showed a positive satisfaction and self-confidence from nursing students towards journal club learning method. As one of the effective teaching strategies, this method is widely adopted by various health professions including nursing to create awareness of research and promote evidence-based nursing practice.
