Focus and Scope

Jurnal Informatika respects all researchers Technology and Information field as a part spirit of disseminating science resulting and community service that provides download journal articles for free, both nationally and internationally.

The editorial welcomes innovative manuscripts from Technology and Information field. The scopes of this journal are:

the manuscripts have primary citations and have never been published online or in print.

Every manuscript will be checked the plagiarism using Turnitin software. If the manuscript indicated major plagiarism, the manuscript is rejected.

Peer Review Process

Jurnal Informatika as a Journal of Informatics Engineering, Informatics Management and Information Systems based online is published by the Department of Research and Public Service (LPPM)  Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika.

The authors of accepted, revised, or rejected articles will be informed of the reviewers' decisions. Authors must submit the manuscripts through an electronic method (OJS), while each will be peer reviewed (blind review) by two (two) reviewers. Reviewers undertake peer review online, and the results are emailed to the author. The maximum review time for OJS is 2 (two) months after submitting the manuscript. Acceptance, revision, or rejection of the article could result from the review.

 

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Informatika Published in April and October every year. Manuscripts are sent at any time via online (Registration). The manuscript will be reviewed if it is in accordance with the template and the focus and scope journal is a maximum of 8 weeks.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Publication Ethics

Jurnal Informatika Publication Ethics

This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing a manuscript in Jurnal Informatika, managed by the Department of Research and Public Service (LPPM) of Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika, including the authors, editors, and reviewers.

This statement is based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

1. Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

A manuscript publication is essential to its ethics stated in the Jurnal Informatika. It publishes research related to theoretical and empirical studies from various sources with responsibility. It is used for science development implemented in the Country's economic growth. Therefore, coherent and respected knowledge needs to be carried out in the Journal publication Ethics Guidelines to reflect manuscript quality from authors and institutions. Peer-review articles support and realize the scientific method. It is then essential to agree on the expected standards of ethical behaviour for all parties involved in the publishing: author, journal editor, reviewer, publisher and the public.

We take all publishing stages kindly and carry out ethics and other responsibilities. The Department of Research and Public Service (LPPM) Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika ensures that broadcasting, reprinting, or other commercial income does not impact editorial decisions.

2.. Publication Decision

Chief Editor of Jurnal Informatika is responsible for publishing requests input from other editors and supports suggestions from reviewers published on the public. It is based on journal publications series starting from submitting manuscripts, checking editors, checking reviewers, checking layouts, checking plagiarism and copyright. It is under the supervision of the Chief Editor and other Editors with authority; thus, a publication decision emerges for the Manuscript in Jurnal Informatika.

3. Non-Discrimination

In Jurnal Informatika publishing process, both editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts for scientific content without linking to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors that uphold the publishing ethics Journal Informatika, namely non-discrimination.

4. Confidentiality

Manuscripts published in Jurnal Informatika are highly guarded in their informational value, where editors and reviewers are not allowed to disclose the information about a manuscript that has been submitted to anyone, including the author, reviewer, editorial team, and publisher, except in an appropriate way.

5. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Unpublished material disclosed in a submitted manuscript should not be used by multiple editorial board members and reviewers in their research.

 

Author's Duties and Responsibilities [Tugas dan Kewajiban Penulis]

1. Reporting Standard

The authors must provide accurate data on the manuscript submitted to Jurnal Informatika. The data presented contains reliable reference sources and is included in the manuscript; fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior.

2. Data Access and Retention

Authors may be asked about data and information in the manuscript must provide data related to the manuscript on time to editors and reviewers.

3. Originality and Plagiarism

Authors should ensure written entirely original works, and if the authors have used their manuscripts or the words of others, it must be appropriately cited. If there are several problems related to quoting and plagiarism in the author's work, the manuscript is automatically rejected.

4. Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publications

The author submits a manuscript for publication in Jurnal Informatika; simultaneously, the author cannot send the manuscript to other publishers. Simultaneous submissions from authors are considered unethical and unacceptable for the manuscript.

5. Source Recognition

Every manuscript submitted by the author to the Jurnal Informatika must acknowledge appropriate bases and add value to the manuscript; all such acknowledgments must be listed in the reference list.

6. Research Authorship

Authorship should be limited to those who have contributed significantly to the research reported in manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Informatics. Authors listed in manuscripts are responsible for keeping co-authors posted with the review process. If accepted, all authors are required to provide a signed statement that the research work is their original research work.

7. Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects

If the work involves chemicals, procedures, or tools with many unusual hazards inherent in the author's use, they must identify all of these in the manuscript.

8. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

All authors should disclose everything that supports the completion of their research in their manuscripts. All are supporting financial sources for research should be disclosed.

 9. Fundamental Errors in Published Works

The author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his published work; the author should immediately notify the editor or journal publisher and cooperate with the Editor to withdraw or correct the research.

 

Review Guideline

Guide for Reviewers

 

Article Substance Review

A reviewer guideline is used to review article material against the standard components of the article.

Title: The title must describe the manuscript's subject adequately, clearly, precisely, and not have multiple interpretations.

Abstract: The abstract should briefly state the research purpose, the methods used, the results, and the core conclusions.

Reference Review: Authors must cite others who contributed to the article. Excessive cited sources must be avoided. The head in the introduction must illustrate the author's originality and novelty through gap analysis.

Purpose: The purpose of the article review should be well explained and will be able to answer the hypothesis.

Methods: The methods utilized to accomplish goals should be stated accurately and thoroughly enough for a competent reader to duplicate the author's work. The research tools, resources, equipment platforms, and procedures must be described.

Clarity: To be clearly understood, writers must write information on research methodology and results in articles in a straightforward, concise, and effective manner.

Delivery organization: Manuscripts must develop/explain the research subject logically and effectively.

Duplication: The details of published research by the author or others are not duplicated in manuscripts. If there are any duplications in the text, the reviewer can provide additional remarks. Check out whether several figures and tables may be added to create the Manuscript shorter without affecting content.

Calculations: Reviewers check if you can verify the authors' findings in a few randomly selected cases.

Text-to-Tables-and-Figures Correlation: All figures and tables must be linked in the text/paragraphs. The text's statements must relate to the contents of the tables and figures.

Titles of Figures and Tables: The contents should be stated in the title. Kindly suggest ways to improve the table/image titles quality.

Title in Table/Caption: interpretation should be unequivocal and use the correct SI units.

Graphics: Data for presenting graphs/images must be accurate.

Conclusion: Conclusions to answer the hypothesis must be stated adequately and clearly and must be supported by data and testing.

Allegation: The author must clearly distinguish between conjecture and fact.

References: All references must be provided in the Bibliography/References section of the manuscript. There are at least 15 references, with 60% primary (scientific journals, proceeding articles, reference books, thesis/dissertation) published in the last ten years.

 

Plagiarism Check

Plagiarism is checked by Turnitin, and Jurnal Informatika accepts articles with a similarity rate of less than 25%.
