Usaha Room boy Dalam Menjaga Standar Kebersihan Kamar Hunian Di Abadi Hotel Jogja

Abstract - Hotel is one type of accommodation that use some or all of the building to provide an accommodation, food and beverage and other services are managed commercially. A hotel certainly has a department that has a major role one of which is the Housekeeping Department. In the Housekeeping Department there are sections that support its work in between room boy who contributes to creating clean, neat and complete in order to get a good impression for guests staying or berkunjuang. Methods used by the writer is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation method, questionnaire method, and the method of documentation. Based on research by the author, business room boy in maintaining hygiene standards occupancy rooms at the Abadi Hotel Jogja is done by running the job descreption appropriate standard operating procedure (SOP), raise the standard of cleanliness through re-checking the cleanliness and completeness of the rooms in each workmanship, providing program weekly to clean places that are rarely affordable, do general cleanig, training, and conduct a comparative study with the hotel as well as to maintain the cleanliness of the room occupancy standard is done by cleaning procedure of step by step in accordance with the provisions phak hotel management.

Abstrak - Hotel merupakan salah satu jenis akomodasi yang mempergunakan sebagian atau seluruh bangunan untuk menyediakan jasa pelayanan penginapan, makan-minum serta jasa lainya yang dikelola secara komersial. Sebuah hotel tentunya memiliki department yang memiliki peranan besar salah satunya adalah Housekeeping Department. Dalam Housekeeping Department terdapat seksi-seksi yang mendukung tugasnya di antaranya room boy yang berperan menciptakan kamar yang bersih, rapi dan lengkap guna mendapatkan kesan yang baik bagi tamu yang menginap maupun berkunjuang. Metode Penelitian yang penulis gunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi, metode kuesioner, dan metode dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang penulis lakukan, usaha room boy dalam menjaga standar kebersihan kamar hunian di Abadi Hotel Jogja dilakukan dengan cara menjalankan job descreption sesuai standard operating procedure (SOP), meningkatkan standar kebersihan kamar melalui pengecekan ulang kebersihan dan kelengkapan kamar di setiap pengerjaan, pengadaaan program mingguan untuk membersihkan tempat-tempat yang jarang terjangkau, melakukan general cleanig, pemberian pelatihan dan mengadakan study banding dengan hotel serta guna menjaga standar kebersihan kamar hunian dilakukan dengan melakukan step by step cleaning procedur sesuai dengan ketentuan phak manajemen hotel.
